The Poulan Pro PR621 is a powerful single stage gas snow blower – effective even in wet snow and starts easily. It isn`t heavy and is very easy to handle and maneuver. On the other hand it`s not so effective when dealing with deeper snow.

Power
The Poulan Pro PR621 features a 208cc 4 cycle gas powered engine (not CARB compliant ) – in combination with the 21×13 inch clearing path it creates very effective snow blower.
It starts easily, mostly on first pull (2x primed) and is one of the most powerful single stage blowers on the market. It eats through 10 inch snow very easily and is effective even in wet and heavy snow, the chute doesn`t clog at all. However as the snow gets deeper, the effectivity falls down.
The throwing distance is very solid, even with ice or heavy snow. Noise level is also acceptable.
Construction
Very easy to assemble, you will need just a simple adjustable wrench and not more than 10 minutes.
For a gas machine, the PR621 is fairly compact, lightweight and easy to handle and maneuver. Like most snow throwers it features an adjustable chute and deflector.
Disadvantages
We haven`t found any serious problems on this machine, however some things are worth noting. You should check the bolts for tightness periodically (it is also advised in the manual) as the blade rotates very fast and they can become slightly loose over time.
Also several customers complained that the oil dipstick has been loose (when the unit arrived) and some oil has been spilled in the package.

Conclusion: The Poulan Pro PR621 is a perfect tool for clearing medium-size areas like your driveway for example – powerful, starts easily, easy to handle and works well even in wet snow. We can definitely recommend it. |
