The WORX WG650 is a lightweight electric snow blower with a solid power – quiet, easy to operate and also has a solid throwing distance. It`s not so effective when dealing with deeper snow, however – great for clearing small to medium snow.

Power
Powered by a 13 amp motor, the WORX WG650 offers a 18×9 inch clearing path – which is slightly smaller than other electric blowers, however doesn`t make much difference in effectivity.
It offers plenty of power and eats through light snow easily – but with a little additional effort it deals even with heavy or hard packed snow (see the second video on the bottom of this page). With deeper snow it`s similar – the machine is simply not designed for it but with some effort it can handle quite a lot of snow.
So ideal for light or medium jobs like clearing walkways, decks or small driveways. Furthermore it`s quiet and the throwing distance is also good – up to 30 feet
Construction
WORX is one of the lightest snow throwers in its category – weighs only 26 pounds so you can operate it very easily. It is also possible to hand it on a garage wall.
The rubber tipped steel auger and also the plastic body are quite sturdy, however you should still be careful not to suck in some rock as they can damage the plastic chute. On the other hand the machine doesn`t get much clogged when blowing a slushy snow.
Handle and chute
WG650 features a 3-position adjustable handlebar so you can set it according to your height to work comfortably and it`s also collapsible for better storage. You don`t need any tools for the adjustment as there are little quick clamps used, however they doesn`t seem so sturdy. The handle itself is comfortable to hold.
The chute is 180-degree adjustable and the deflector can be adjusted as well – both of them easily in winter gloves. One disadvantage we have to mention – this unit has no cordlock mechanism. It`s not a big problem, however you should rather use a longer extension cord which you won`t run out of.

Conclusion: WORX WG650 is a great tool for clearing small to medium snow on walkways, decks, patios or small driveways. It`s powerful, lightweight and quiet – we can definitely recommend it. |
